Biographical Information

1. Southampton's economy is heavily influenced by seasonal tourism, while local businesses face high rents, labor shortages, and housing costs. What can the Town realistically do to strengthen year-round businesses without encouraging the type of development that changes the character of the community?

2. Traffic congestion is one of the most visible problems residents experience every summer. What is one traffic problem you believe the Town can actually solve during your term, rather than simply study?

3. Southampton has a Community Housing Fund financed by a ½% real-estate transfer tax, and the Town is now considering expanding first-time-homebuyer assistance to as much as 18% of the purchase price. How many additional affordable homes do you believe Southampton actually needs, and how many will you commit to helping create during your term?

4. The town has been working on revitalization plans in Flanders and Hampton Bays. Would you provide your vision for both of these plans?

5. There is talk of the town updating its comprehensive plan, which was last revised in 1999. With a large increase in population since the COVID pandemic and the challenges of global warming, do you support this update? What would your goals include?
