Education
Graduate of Lyndhurst high school with additional vocational and technical training in the electrical and construction trades.
Qualifications/Experience
Licensed electrician, licensed construction, official, electrical inspector, former business owner, and extensive experience working with municipal construction, building codes, inspections, permits, contractors, and project costs.

Lyndhurst’s three most important challenges are rising property taxes and affordability; transparency and accountability in municipal spending; and stronger communication and cooperation among local government, other public bodies, and residents. Rising taxes make it harder for working families, seniors, and longtime residents to remain in their homes and age in place. Residents deserve to know where their tax dollars are going, how spending decisions are made, and whether contracts are competitively and fairly bid. They deserve government that listens, communicates openly, and works together. No resident should face being priced out of the community they have called home because property taxes have become unaffordable.
As a lifelong Lyndhurst resident, homeowner, landlord, and graduate of Lyndhurst schools, I have a personal investment in our community. I am a construction official, an electrical inspector, and have served municipalities in these roles, giving me firsthand experience with construction, inspections, permits, contractors, costs, and municipal operations. My background allows me to evaluate whether proposed costs are reasonable, and whether taxpayers are receiving appropriate value for their money. As a former business owner, I understand budgeting, controlling costs, quality service, and accountability. These experiences have prepared me to ask informed questions, examine spending carefully, and advocate for Lyndhurst taxpayers.
My priority for the operating budget is to protect taxpayers by examining recurring expenses, especially salaries, and making sure compensation is justified, consistent with civil service standards, and in line with comparable towns. For the capital budget, my priority is competitive bidding and careful cost review. Infrastructure must be maintained, but contracts should be openly bid, not repeatedly awarded just under bid thresholds. That is how we respect tax dollars.
My goal is to control the cost within municipal government while maintaining the services residents depend on. I will carefully scrutinize spending and the budget under my responsibility, while reviewing the overall municipal budget with taxpayers in mind. I will support competitive bidding, pursue available grants and cost-effective shared services, and prioritize preventative maintenance before problems become costly emergencies. I will listen to residents when setting priorities and support greater transparency and communication across departments and with the Board of Education
Climate change is a global issue, but municipalities can take practical steps locally. As Commissioner of Public Affairs, I would support strong enforcement of building, electrical, energy and property maintenance codes, and ensure new construction meets all applicable environmental and energy standards. I would support responsible development that considers its impact on drainage, open space and the surrounding community. As a member of the Board of Commissioners, I would also support practical, cost-effective measures that protect our environment and community while respecting taxpayers.
