I currently serve on the Greece Town Council, bringing firsthand experience in the very position I am seeking to continue. I have worked in and with the public sector for more than 20 years and have extensive experience in human resources and the labor movement, including roles as a coordinator, organizer, and negotiator. My career has taught me that supporting workers and being fiscally responsible are not competing priorities.

I have also demonstrated my ability to work effectively with members of all political parties. Serving on a politically mixed Town Board has reinforced my belief that good government requires collaboration and a commitment to serving every resident, regardless of party or background.

I worked my way from one of my first jobs at Irondequoit Mall to leadership roles in Human Resources. I hold a Master of Public Administration from SUNY Brockport and am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education at Long Island University.

Our new administration has been working to address past financial waste and poor decision-making while bringing greater transparency and accountability to Town government. My priorities are responsible spending and investing in the services residents rely on every day.

Infrastructure must remain a priority, including paving neighborhood streets and Town-owned parking lots, tree trimming, drainage, and maintaining public facilities. I also support reopening Barnard Park under the Town of Greece so residents can once again enjoy this important green space.

We must remain fully staffed with qualified employees across DPW, Town Hall, the Library, and Greece Police. These employees provide essential services, from keeping roads clear during winter to protecting public safety.

Finally, Greece is a diverse community. Our government should serve every resident fairly and ensure all residents feel welcomed, represented, and respected.

I would like to strengthen our approach to vacant and abandoned properties, particularly homes that have remained vacant for more than two years and have fallen into serious disrepair. These “zombie homes” can become safety hazards, negatively affect neighboring property values, and create ongoing concerns for residents.

I would like the Town to explore stronger ordinances and every legal tool available to intervene earlier, hold property owners and responsible financial institutions accountable, and help expedite the court and foreclosure processes when possible. Where legally appropriate, we should also explore opportunities that allow severely neglected properties to be sold, rehabilitated, or acquired for productive use.

Residents should not have to live next door to a deteriorating property for years while it works its way through the system.

One major improvement I would like to see is expanded public transportation throughout Greece. Residents, workers, seniors, students, and consumers should have greater ability to travel across our Town, whether they are going to work, the Mall at Greece Ridge, restaurants, medical appointments, shopping, or other destinations.

Reliable transportation also supports our local economy by helping employees get to work and giving residents greater access to Greece businesses.

I will continue advocating for the return of full-size bus service in Greece and for expanded routes that better connect our neighborhoods and major commercial areas. Achieving this will require continued conversations and partnership with our regional transportation providers, and State delegation, as well as identifying the areas where residents and workers have the greatest transportation needs.
