Lower Property Taxes and Cost of Living: Cut waste, control spending, and protect homeowners and working families from rising costs.
Expand Homeownership: Encourage more condos, co-ops, and starter homes so residents can build equity instead of being pushed toward high-cost rentals.
Support Police, Fire, and First Responders: Ensure proper staffing, equipment, contracts, and resources to keep neighborhoods safe.
Increase Government Accountability: Audit spending, improve transparency, and make sure taxpayer-funded programs are actually delivering results.
Fix Infrastructure and Flooding: Prioritize roads, drainage, flooding, sanitation, and other quality-of-life issues.

I am currently the Majority WHIP at the Board of Legislators and have been on the BOL since January 1, 2024. I am former chair of Housing & Planning Committee and current chair of Infrastructure & Housing Committee at the Board of Legislators. For 6 years I served on the Yonkers City Council representing District 1. Prior to that, I served in the Office of the Mayor of Yonkers for more than 5 years.

There are many important issues facing County Legislative District 16 and communities across Westchester. Affordability remains a major concern and I would say at the top of list for District 16. More specifically, affordability in regards to the cost of housing/rentals, utilities, and child care. Residents are also facing challenges with access to social services and health care which has been exacerbated due to the Federal government cuts to funding, homelessness and mental health and substance-use issues, aging infrastructure and flooding, public safety, and access to reliable transportation.
These issues are interconnected, and addressing them requires practical solutions, strong county services, and a commitment to ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to live safely, affordably, and with dignity which is why I am proud to be able to work together with the County Executive and my colleagues at the Board of Legislators to address them.
