Westchester County Legislator District 12

District 12 contains Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, part of Greenburgh, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington.Term: 2 years; Base Salary: $75,000Duties: Among the duties of each County Legislator is to enact laws dealing with the County and its residents; to adopt an annual budget and to levy taxes; to determine the structure of County Government and the number of County employees and their salaries; and to initiate new projects and programs as the need arises. There are 17 County Districts.

I care about ensuring our local government is accountable. Over 2,000 Westchester residents — retirees, empty nesters, young families — have shared concerns with me about affordability and being taxed out of their homes. I continue to fight the Greenburgh Town Board, which sets District 12 property assessments, to return to a non-reassessment municipality as in 2016. How much is the government asking taxpayers to provide, and is that amount necessary? The key factor is the budget: County and Town of Greenburgh spending remains unchecked, unaccounted for, and inefficient, wasting millions in taxpayer dollars. I promise to change this.

I support a safer, stronger District 12: mitigating flooding by addressing Westchester's aging sewer systems, ensuring veterans receive their property tax exemptions, protecting children from social media overuse, combating antisemitism and all hate, and encouraging business development.
