District 4 contains New Castle, part of Ossining, part of Somers, and part of Yorktown. Term: 2 years; Salary: $75,000 BaseDuties: Among the duties of each County Legislator is to enact laws dealing with the County and its residents; to adopt an annual budget and to levy taxes; to determine the structure of County Government and the number of County employees and their salaries; and to initiate new projects and programs as the need arises. There are 17 County Districts.

Affordability is forcing so many of our residents out of Westchester county and out of New York. Our county has 41% of households are food insecure. The Country as a whole has become too expensive over the past 15 years. Salaries are not keeping up with elevated costs of everything from food, gas, health care and retirement. The social security tax threeshold has not increased in 43 years which is ridiculous. Our young adults can not afford to ever buy a residence and our seniors live month to month. College is another unaffordable venture that is in need of change.
