Affordability. Since I joined the Board in 2016, we have approved more than 3,600 new affordable units countywide, and preserved roughly 1,000 more.
Emergency services and public safety. Volunteer departments face recruitment shortages and rising costs. Working with our state partners, I helped secure equipment grants for six volunteer departments in District 3, including a fireboat in Sleepy Hollow and air stations in Thornwood and Armonk. I cosponsored the expanded property tax exemption for volunteer first responders, reducing the service requirement from five years to two and removing geographic restrictions.
Infrastructure. When wells ran dry in Quarry Heights during the 2023 heat wave, I worked with local, state and federal partners to secure 1.1 million dollars for water service. Two thirds of those homes are connected.

I’m running to keep Westchester livable, sustainable, economically vibrant, and welcoming to new families. First, I promise to use your hard-earned tax dollars wisely and fairly. No waste, no funny business. We will continue to improve affordable and senior housing, to maintain a thriving economy for all and enable seniors to stay in the county they love. We will foster conditions that businesses need: clear rules and predictable processes, with officials who solve problems instead of creating them. Second, I will fight to protect our remaining natural landscapes, build new protections from flooding, and push for adaptive re-use of existing buildings. Third, we need to renew the American promise of including everyone. This always means vigilant protection against racism and anti-Semitism and rejecting attacks on women’s rights. It also means crosswalk designs that help the dad in a wheelchair and mental health response teams that have the staff they need. Westchester is for everyone.
