Duties: Serves as a member of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC). Commissioners represent the views of residents of their Single Member District (SMD). After deliberation and votes, the ANC Commission advises the Mayor, Council and executive agencies in local matters such as parking, zoning, traffic, liquor licenses, permits, etc.Deberes: Se desempeña como miembro de la “Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC)”. Los comisionados representan las opiniones de los residentes de su distrito miembro único “Single Member District(SMD)”. Después de la deliberación y las votaciones, la Comisión del ANC asesora al alcalde, al consejo y a las agencias ejecutivas en asuntos locales como estacionamiento, zonificación, tráfico, licencias de venta de bebidas alcohólicas, permisos, etc.

What is the most important issue facing your Single Member District (SMD) and how do you intend to address it?

How will you engage with residents to be an effective Commissioner, especially reaching those who are unfamiliar with the role and value of ANCs?

Qualifications Eager for and motivated to enable transformative change in our District (and the country).
Safety - by all definitions of the word. Transportation, health, access to housing, wages that allow our residents to thrive.
I'd like to have a regular email communication (and paper when necessary) along with an online form for constituents to reach me with issues. I'd also like to build a website that has educational materials about the ANC, it's role in the DC government, and perhaps some general resources for residents to be more educated about our local and federal governments and how to get involved.
