DC ANC 3C07 Commissioner {_getChooseLabel(this.selections.length)}

Duties: Serves as a member of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC). Commissioners represent the views of residents of their Single Member District (SMD). After deliberation and votes, the ANC Commission advises the Mayor, Council and executive agencies in local matters such as parking, zoning, traffic, liquor licenses, permits, etc.Deberes: Se desempeña como miembro de la “Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC)”. Los comisionados representan las opiniones de los residentes de su distrito miembro único “Single Member District(SMD)”. Después de la deliberación y las votaciones, la Comisión del ANC asesora al alcalde, al consejo y a las agencias ejecutivas en asuntos locales como estacionamiento, zonificación, tráfico, licencias de venta de bebidas alcohólicas, permisos, etc.

Safe streets, slower traffic, easier access for pedestrians and cyclists. Our community needs more housing and a more vibrant and diverse commercial options. The ANC can and should facilitate all of this through convening the community to discuss issues, solve problems and move solutions forward. We've made some good progress in the last few years.
I have a newsletter https://anc3c07.substack.com/ to keep residents informed. I walk my dog through the neighborhood every day and talk to as many people as I can. I especially try to introduce myself to new residents. The ANC staffs tables for outreach at most community events (Woodley Park Day, etc).
