What is the most important issue facing your Single Member District (SMD) and how do you intend to address it?

How will you engage with residents to be an effective Commissioner, especially reaching those who are unfamiliar with the role and value of ANCs?

My neighbors' top issues are rats and affordable housing supply. To address the rat issue, I will advocate for better public trash receptacles to deter rodents and increased composting to divert food scraps from residential trash. I will eagerly support the development of new affordable housing and will attempt to maintain our affordable housing supply by pushing for greater accountability on rent controlled units.
My work with the Free DC Project and the Janeese Lewis George campaign has really pushed me to talk and organize with my neighbors like never before. During my campaign, I plan to to introduce myself to as many neighbors as possible. If elected, I will continue to deepen connections with my constituents and maintain an active presence in the incredible Dupont Circle community. I am also excited about emerging hyperlocal community organizing efforts around mosquitoes and rats—watch this space! I am always available via email and can be found in my front yard most evenings.
