How will you engage with residents to be an effective Commissioner, especially reaching those who are unfamiliar with the role and value of ANCs?

Qualifications 12-year resident of ANC1C09, president of the tenant association for my 395-unit building, active advocate for my neighbors in city politics
I am specifically running because of an elevator in my building severing the arm of my neighbor in September 2025. That tragedy galvanized my neighbors to reform our tenant association, and I have been serving as its president. Through our efforts to ensure another incident like this never happens, we’ve learned that it was not just our elevator—DOB has inspected all our elevators and deems them safe, despite the fact that they frequently close on residents in wheelchairs and strollers.

My 3 commitments to my neighbors: Safe elevators. Affordable homes. Vanquished rats.
I am planning to spend October knocking on doors and hosting listening sessions in the 4 major apartment buildings in my district.
