Why are you running for this position?

What qualifies you for this position?

I am running for Town Justice in Virgil because I believe our community deserves a fair, impartial, and respectful court. Throughout my career, I have been committed to public service. As Town Justice, I will work to ensure that everyone who comes before the court is treated with dignity and respect. I will ensure that the law is applied fairly, and that the court serves the people of Virgil with professionalism and accountability.
My professional life as an attorney has been dedicated to service, leadership, and the law. As a former and now retired Navy Judge Advocate, I gained valuable experience applying the law fairly and ethically. After the military, during my career in law school higher education and my teaching of legal and ethics-related courses, I have continued to develop the judgment, integrity, and respect for due process that are essential for judicial service. I am committed to serving the residents of Virgil with fairness, impartiality, and respect for the rule of law.
