Hudson County Commissioner District 6
Hudson County is governed by the Hudson County Executive and a nine-member Board of County Commissioners as a legislative body, who administer all county business. The County Executive is elected directly by the voters. The members of the Board of County Commissioners are elected concurrently to serve three-year terms as Commissioner, each representing a specified district which are equally proportioned based on population. Each year, in January, the Commissioners select one of their nine to serve as Chair and one as Vice Chair for a period of one year.
