The Franklin Township School District serves public school students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade at Franklin Township School. Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend North Hunterdon High School in Annandale together with students from Bethlehem Township, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Lebanon Borough and Union Township. The mission of the Franklin Township School, in partnership with the entire community, is to educate all students to the fullest extent of their individual capabilities, to foster a desire for excellence and prepare students to succeed in future educational endeavors, in order to become responsible, respectful members in a democratic society.The Board of Education is comprised of seven volunteer members who are elected to serve staggered three-year terms.
