Tewksbury Township Committee
Tewksbury Township is governed under the Township form of government. The five-member Township Committee is elected directly by the voters at-large in partisan elections to serve three-year terms of office on a staggered basis, with either one or two seats coming up for election each year as part of the November general election in a three-year cycle. At an annual reorganization meeting, the Township Committee selects one of its members to serve as Mayor and another as Deputy Mayor.

Involvement in Community
I'm a 40 year resident that has served in many leadership roles in our Township, multiple Chairmanships for the Woman's Club of Tewksbury, 12 years on the Tewksbury Board of Education serving 4 of them as President, Founding member of the Tewksbury Education Foundation in 1997 and still a Board member of the organization, and completing my second term as a Council Member on the Tewksbury Township Committee, having served as Mayor in 2023.
My interest lies in continuing to serve the Township as a representative for all the residents of Tewksbury. I'm close to completing my second term on the Council and have proven to be a valuable representative for the community who listens, responds and works to progress positive change. Professionally I have served on numerous Boards, ran businesses, fundraised in our community, and have acquired a strong skillset of working with others to make things happen.
The Finance Sub Committee is one that I currently serve on in the Township and overseeing the creation of the Budget is one of our primary functions. We will prioritize efforts to accommodate the rising cost increases of Health Care Benefits, utilities, and Capitol improvement costs. With careful planning and close monitoring of expenses which we can control, we will continue to keep our proposed budget within our state cap and not impact taxes.
We are currently exploring ways to adopt a resolution that is consistent with our Master Plan to not permit large data centers in Tewksbury.
Our Land Use Board does an excellent job of serving the community by hearing applications from residents who are interested in land improvements to their property. Thay provide guidance to keep any development to stay within our municipal guidelines.
