I have lived in Wyckoff for thirteen years with my wife, and my son is currently in seventh grade. My father was a professor, and growing up around his devotion to teaching and shaping young minds instilled in me a deep respect for what good education really requires. That is a big part of why I am running, to serve this town and help keep Wyckoff among the strongest school districts in Bergen County, while making sure our students, teachers, and families all feel supported through the decisions the board makes. I currently serve as Policy Committee Chair for the district, and that experience has shown me firsthand how much thoughtful, steady governance matters to the quality of education our children receive.
Like many districts, Wyckoff faces real fiscal pressure from rising health insurance costs for our staff, declining state aid, and tax levy constraints, all while trying to sustain academic excellence and keep our schools safe and supportive places to learn. As an engineer and Managing Director at a large accounting firm, where I lead a Digital Transformation and Innovation practice, and after twenty years at KPMG leading technology teams of over seven hundred professionals, I bring direct experience managing large budgets, navigating organizational change, and making sound decisions under financial pressure. My current work as Policy Committee Chair on the board has also given me firsthand insight into how these challenges play out at the district level.
My family has called Wyckoff home for thirteen years, and my son is currently a seventh grader in the district, so I experience our schools as a parent navigating them in real time, not just as a candidate. Beyond that, I served as Technology Committee Chair for the Wyckoff Board of Education last year and currently serve as Policy Committee Chair this year, which has given me a close, working understanding of district policy, budgeting, and the issues our schools and families face day to day. What has struck me most over these thirteen years is how kind and close-knit this community truly is, a place where neighbors show up for each other and for our schools.
My highest priority is helping Wyckoff navigate the growing challenges technology brings to our children, from rising screen time and the rapid rise of AI to real cybersecurity threats facing our schools and student data. My background leading large scale technology organizations brings a skill set not currently represented on the board, helping ensure thoughtful policies and a safe, focused learning environment rather than one shaped by unchecked technology use. Alongside this, I remain committed to guiding the district through financial pressures in the coming years, continuing the WSD Strategic Plan, and ensuring transparency with parents and strong support for our teachers.
I am a chief engineer and Managing Director at BDO USA, where I lead a Digital Transformation and Innovation practice, following twenty years at KPMG leading global technology teams. I have always believed in being an active participant in both my community and my children’s lives. Because so much of a child’s development happens in school, the decisions we make today help shape their future opportunities. Wyckoff has a long tradition of educational excellence, and I want to help preserve and strengthen that legacy. Through my professional experience working within complex regulatory environments and with emerging technologies, I can bring a thoughtful, practical perspective to the Board. I am especially passionate about ensuring our students become creators, innovators, and critical thinkers who shape technology, rather than simply consume it.
The most important challenges facing our district are balancing the opportunities and risks of technology, managing financial pressures driven by rising costs, and ensuring our teachers have the resources and support they need to help every student succeed. Just as important is maintaining strong connections between our schools and the community they serve.
My experiences have prepared me well for these challenges. As President of my homeowners association, I helped turn a deficit into a growing reserve while building consensus around long-term financial planning. Professionally, as a paralegal working in innovation and technology, I analyze complex issues, evaluate emerging technologies, and make evidence-based recommendations. As both a parent and a resident, I have experienced firsthand what makes Wyckoff's schools special. I have been impressed by the dedication of our teachers, principals, and staff, and I am grateful for the strong educational foundation they provide. At the same time, my involvement as a parent has highlighted areas where we can do better, particularly regarding technology and communication. Parents should have a clear understanding of what technology is being used, why it is being used, and how it benefits students. Too often, that information feels difficult to find or understand. I believe stronger transparency and engagement between the district, educators, and families are essential.
My highest priority as a School Board member would be ensuring that every decision we make puts students first. That starts with taking a thoughtful look at how technology is used in our schools, strengthening protections for student data and privacy, and ensuring parents have a clear understanding of the technology their children are using.
I am also committed to addressing inconsistencies in student outcomes across our elementary schools. Every child in Wyckoff deserves the same opportunities and high-quality educational experience, regardless of which school they attend. Through transparency, accountability, and community engagement, we can make informed decisions that better support our students, teachers, and families.
Voters should know that I am running because I care deeply about Wyckoff, our schools, and the future of our children. As a parent, professional, and community volunteer, I believe in listening first, doing the research, and making thoughtful, evidence-based decisions. I am not afraid to ask difficult questions, but I am equally committed to working collaboratively and respectfully with fellow board members, educators, parents, and administrators. I value transparency, accountability, and community engagement, and I want every resident to feel that their voice matters. My goal is not to advance a personal agenda, but to ensure that every decision is made with our students' best interests in mind and with a clear vision for their future.

I bring more than 20 years of experience in education, including my current role as a math consultant supporting schools with curriculum, instruction, professional learning, and strategic planning. Through my work, I have developed a strong understanding of school budgets, operations, and the complex decisions that shape student learning. As an active member of the Wyckoff community, PTO board member, Economy Shop volunteer, and parent of children in second and fourth grade, I understand both the opportunities and challenges facing our schools from multiple perspectives. Community is something we build by showing up, getting involved, and making connections, and it has always been an important part of my life. Since moving to Wyckoff 11 years ago, I have found meaningful ways to contribute to the community I am proud to call home. I serve as a PTO board member and liaison to the Wyckoff Economy Shop, where I also volunteer regularly. As a Girl Scout troop leader, I love helping girls develop leadership, service, and teamwork while creating opportunities for them to connect with and give back to both the Wyckoff and broader community. Beyond Wyckoff, I am pursuing a doctorate in Leadership at William Paterson University, where I also serve on the Equity and Justice Committee. These experiences have deepened my belief that strong communities grow through listening, collaboration, service, and a willingness to lead by example.

I want to serve on the Board of Education because I believe our schools are strongest when the people they serve have a meaningful voice in how they are governed. A central role of the Board is to help shape policy, set direction, provide oversight, and ensure the community has the opportunity to truly be heard. I want to be part of that work.
With more than 20 years in education I bring experience that can help inform Board decisions. I understand the importance of transparency, accountability, and cooperation. To me, these are more than words. They are actions shown through the work we do. I would be proud to bring my experience, energy, and commitment to the Wyckoff BOE.
I believe one of our district’s biggest challenges is strengthening the connection between community input, decision-making, and follow-through. This connects directly to Strategic Plan Goal 4, which focuses on parent engagement.
Our community is engaged. Parents attend meetings, ask questions, complete surveys, and advocate for their children. The challenge is ensuring that input meaningfully informs decisions and that families understand what happens next. Transparency and accountability mean closing that loop.
As a teacher and current math consultant, I bring experience listening to different perspectives, analyzing information, communicating clearly, and moving ideas to action. As a parent and active community volunteer, I understand the importance of showing up, listening, and building trust.
I love being a parent in Wyckoff. My children have received an excellent education, and I am grateful for every teacher they have had. As an educator I have tremendous respect for my fellow teachers and am continually impressed by the knowledge, care, and dedication of the educators in our district. I also have great respect for our school leadership, from Dr. Postma to our principals.
At the same time I believe we need to strengthen district-wide continuity, communication, and informed policy and instructional decisions. A strong district is not built around one exceptional leader. It is built when all participants have the option to contribute, communicate, and work together toward a shared vision, while encouraging continued reflection.
My highest priority will be ensuring Board decisions are thoughtful, transparent, and aligned with our Strategic Plan. That means listening to families and educators, using data and research to guide decisions, and clearly communicating the what, why, and how. It looks like examining current technology and screen-time practices, reviewing research on developmentally appropriate use, gathering input from students, families, and educators, and establishing clear goals for evaluating their impact. It also means creating meaningful opportunities for community input and ensuring long-term priorities remain connected to student needs. Ultimately, I want to build trust through informed, collaborative leadership.
I am a hardworking mom, an engaged community member, and an educator who cares deeply about our schools and the people they serve. I believe investing in our schools is an investment in all of us. I also believe it takes a village to do this work well. My name may be on the ballot, but a Board seat is not about one person. It is about representing the community, listening to different perspectives, asking thoughtful questions, making informed decisions, and working together toward what is best for our students. When elected, I will bring curiosity, thoughtful leadership, diligence, and a genuine commitment to serving Wyckoff throughout my term.
