For the past six years, it has been my privilege and honor to serve our community. I have worked alongside dedicated educators, staff, families, and community members who share one goal: providing the best education possible for the children of Englewood.
We have made meaningful progress, but our work is not finished. We must continue improving student achievement, supporting our teachers and staff, maintaining fiscal responsibility, expanding opportunities for every child, and ensuring our schools are safe and welcoming.
I am running for re-election because I believe leadership and experience matter. I will continue Putting Children First.

I have six years of experience serving on the Englewood Board of Education, including serving as both Vice President and President. I am also a Certified Master Board Member through the New Jersey School Boards Association.
One of the greatest challenges ahead is balancing double-digit increases in uncontrollable costs while ensuring we adequately fund our schools and continue providing a thorough and efficient education for every child.
We must remain laser-focused on academic achievement through meaningful professional development for our staff, a curriculum aligned with state standards, and clear accountability for results.
We must also strengthen parental engagement. Education is a partnership between our schools and our families, and when we work together, our children have the greatest opportunity to succeed.
I understand the distinct roles and responsibilities of the Board and administration. I believe a successful district depends on collaboration between the Board and Superintendent, with a shared focus on student success.
I make it a priority to be present, engaged, and connected to our schools. I attend as many district events as possible, including graduations, moving-up ceremonies, concerts, parent engagement events, and staff & student recognition programs.
I believe that to effectively represent our community, a Board member must be actively engaged—celebrating our students, recognizing our dedicated staff, and supporting the families we serve.
As one of my first actions as President of the Board, I established a Special Education Ad Hoc Committee to focus on the needs of our students receiving special education services. Over the past two years, the district has added five Special Education classes, saving more than $1 million while expanding in-district services. We must continue developing programs that serve students effectively and, where appropriate, bring students back from out-of-district placements.
At the same time, we must work to rebuild district reserves, maintain fiscal responsibility, and continue improving academic proficiency. Our focus must remain on providing every child with the resources, support, and opportunities needed to succeed.
As a graduate of Englewood Public Schools, where I attended K–12, I have a personal connection to our schools and a strong commitment to their future. I am also a Certified Master Board Member.
I have worked to strengthen Special Education, expand student opportunities, support educators, improve academic achievement, and maintain fiscal responsibility.
There is more work ahead, but with the right experience and leadership we can continue to build on on progress. I respectfully ask for your vote.
