For Bar Nunn residents, the biggest challenge is managing growth without losing the community feel that makes people want to live here. We are still a small town, but we are clearly on the edge of becoming a larger community. With growth comes pressure: traffic, infrastructure, public safety, housing, parks, pathways, and making sure we plan thoughtfully so our town continues to serve the people who live here.
Bar Nunn is close to Casper, but we have our own identity, and that identity is worth protecting. The challenge is making sure growth works for residents, not the other way around.
Public safety is also a concern. Bar Nunn is the only municipality in the county without its own police department. I appreciate the Sheriff’s Office, but they cover the entire county. We need a strong local presence that fits our town and budget.
I would focus on practical planning, fiscal responsibility, and clear communication with residents. Some level of growth is inevitable, but we still have a say in what it looks like. My goal is to help Bar Nunn grow in a way that protects our community, supports families, and plans responsibly for the future. I support residential growth that helps families live and stay here, along with smaller businesses and services that make daily life easier.
I would continue working toward responsible public safety options, including a local police presence that acts as a deterrent and community resource, not simply a ticket-writing machine. This has been discussed for years, and it needs to move forward carefully, transparently, and within a balanced budget.
I also want to keep pushing for safer connectivity, including road planning, pedestrian options, and future pathways that better connect Bar Nunn to Casper and surrounding areas. Good planning now can prevent bigger problems later.
I have served on the Bar Nunn Town Council and understand that local government is not about slogans. It is about budgets, infrastructure, ordinances, public safety, and decisions that affect your neighbors.
Professionally, I work as a Purchasing Director for a hospital system, managing contracts, budgets, vendors, capital projects, and competing priorities across multiple facilities. That experience has taught me to ask good questions, compare options, control costs, and make decisions based on facts instead of noise.
I am also a husband, father, and resident who cares deeply about this town. My family has called Bar Nunn home for nearly 10 years. I am not running because I think I have every answer, or because I was looking for extra evening meetings. I am running because I enjoy serving this community and believe Bar Nunn has a strong future if we handle growth thoughtfully and work together.
