Strong history of business leadership and working with employees directly.
Catron County is the largest County in the state, with very few people and therefore one of the poorest Counties in New Mexico. This makes bringing health care, EMS/Fire and general County service to ALL residents fairly very difficult. Tough decisions will need to be made every day.
I would begin by trying to expand the Counties tax base with industry that is compatible with local businesses and our water supply, while maintaining our rural lifestyle.
I believe that social media is currently the method of choice and seems to work effectively for most. I will reach out to others that do not use social media and get feedback as to how they would like to be informed and then make provisions to make that happen if possible. Communication with the residents of Catron County is a high priority to me. The lack of communication leads to distrust whether warranted or not.
We have the opportunity in the our entire County to grow industries such as Astronomy Tourism that have zero impact on hunting, ranching and water. I would pursue that type if industry as a start.
