South Brunswick Township Council
Each member of the Township Council is elected to a four-year term. The mayoral seat is up for election directly by the voters in the year when seats are up for election. At an reorganization meeting held in January after each election, the council selects a deputy mayor from among its members.The duties and responsibilities of the Township Council include:Establishing policy for the TownshipAppointing the Township Manager, Township Clerk, Township Attorney and the Tax AssessorCreating commissions or other advisory boardsAppointing committees to conducting departmental investigations
