My priorities are strengthening public schools, providing property tax relief, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and supporting rural communities. I am running because I believe people deserve a representative who listens, works across differences, and focuses on practical solutions.
My background includes hospitality, information technology, and higher education. I attended technical college, earned a bachelor's degree, and worked with University of Wisconsin campuses. I understand the challenges facing working families because I have lived them, including nearly twenty years of student loan payments. As a first-time candidate, I am not part of the political establishment. My focus is serving the people of the 72nd District.
The most pressing housing issue in Wisconsin is affordability. Young families, workers, and seniors are struggling to find housing that fits their budgets. In many rural communities, there is also a shortage of workforce housing and housing options for older residents who want to remain in their communities.
I support encouraging affordable housing development, rehabilitating existing housing stock, and expanding opportunities for first-time homebuyers. Local communities should have a strong voice in decisions affecting growth and development. Safe, affordable housing strengthens families, supports employers, and helps communities thrive.
Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. I support a transparent redistricting process that gives Wisconsin residents confidence that district maps are drawn fairly and without favoring either political party.
The process should include public input, clear standards, and opportunities for citizens to review proposed maps before they are finalized. Communities with shared interests should be kept together whenever possible. Fair representation strengthens trust in government, encourages participation, and helps ensure elected officials remain accountable to the people they serve.
Every child deserves access to a quality education regardless of where they live or whether they have a disability. Wisconsin's Constitution requires us to provide public education, and we must ensure schools have the resources to meet that responsibility.
I support increasing support for public schools, addressing special education funding gaps, and helping districts recruit and retain qualified teachers and staff. Through my work supporting University of Wisconsin two-year campuses, I saw firsthand how educators, support staff, and technology professionals all contribute to student success. Students with disabilities deserve access to the services, accommodations, and individualized support they need to reach their full potential.
Economic growth should not come at the expense of clean water, public health, property values, or quality of life. Large projects such as data centers and CAFOs should be subject to thorough environmental review, transparent permitting processes, and meaningful public input.
I support using sound science and accurate data when evaluating impacts on water resources, infrastructure, energy use, and surrounding communities. Local residents deserve to understand both the benefits and risks of major projects before decisions are made. Wisconsin can support responsible growth while protecting the natural resources that are vital to our future.
