Wisconsin Legislative BranchWisconsin’s legislature makes state laws. The legislature has two houses: the Wisconsin Senate and the Wisconsin Assembly. Proposed laws (bills) can originate from either the state senate or assembly. Both houses must approve the bill before it is passed on to the governor for signature or veto. The legislature can override a veto with a two-thirds majority vote in each house. The legislature controls the spending of state funds through appropriation.Wisconsin AssemblyThe Wisconsin Assembly has ninety-nine representatives. Voters elect representatives to represent their assembly district for a two-year term. My main priority is to bring both parties to the table so we can have an honest conversation about our priorities. And I believe being an independent uniquely qualifies me to do so.
What I have been hearing alot about lately is how outrageous our property taxes have been & how we need to rework the whole system form the ground up. Starting with how right now you pay the same amount in taxes for what you could sell your house for. Just cause you're neighbor sold. who's to say the market crash out later. Just seems a little unfair is all.
Thought we had a pretty good system not to long ago. But an upgrade on how computer system's operate is long overdue.
I would work hard to make sure our school's are well funded. Especially those with disabilities to often the ones who need our help the most fall through the cracks.
The best part of being from this area is our outdoors. We need to work with the hunters the farmers and our business infrastructure hand in hand to be good stewards. That being said i don't think we need to sell of the land just for progresses sake. They'll be just fine some were else.
