Biographical Information

Please describe your priorities for your term in office and your specific qualifications to effectively address those issues.

What do you see as the most pressing housing-related issue in Wisconsin, and what policies, if any, would you support to address the issue?

What redistricting process, if any, do you believe the legislature should put in place before the next national census to ensure fair representation for voters?

What, if anything, will you do to ensure our schools have the resources to improve outcomes for its students, including those with disabilities?

What guardrails, if any, would you support to protect our environment, health, property values, and household budgets from large projects such as hyperscale data centers and Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)?

My priorities center on a workers-first agenda that ensures the state government serves everyday Wisconsinites rather than the wealthy and large corporations. I will focus on economic justice, affordable housing, sustainable local economies, environmental stewardship, and strong public education. My background as a public servant and progressive advocate positions me to effectively champion labor rights, community-led governance, and policies that uplift working families. I have experience organizing in local communities, advancing participatory budgeting efforts, and fighting for transparent policy-making.
The most pressing housing issue in Wisconsin is the lack of affordable and workforce housing, particularly in rural and seasonal communities. I support promoting community land trusts, expanding tenant protections, and leveraging vacant properties for cooperative housing. Additionally, I will push for state grants to rehabilitate aging homes and create more options for seasonal and workforce housing.
I believe the legislature should establish an independent, nonpartisan redistricting commission before the next national census. This process would prioritize fair maps that reflect communities rather than partisan interests, ensuring every voter’s voice has equal weight.
I will fight to increase state support for public schools and the University of Wisconsin system, ensuring stable funding that allows local schools and regional campuses to remain open. I will advocate for expanded Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, robust mental health support for students, and resources that improve outcomes for all students, including those with disabilities.
To protect our environment, health, property values, and household budgets, I support implementing clear guardrails for large projects like hyperscale data centers and CAFOs. This includes environmental impact assessments, community input processes, and temporary moratoriums to give local residents a voice in deciding how such developments affect their communities.
