My priorities are making Wisconsin more affordable, supporting public safety, strengthening our schools, and expanding housing opportunities while respecting local control. As a small business owner and Village President of Union Grove, I’ve balanced budgets, worked across jurisdictions, and solved real-world problems. I understand the challenges families and employers face because I deal with them every day. In Madison, I’ll focus on practical solutions, reducing unnecessary regulations, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly.
Wisconsin needs more attainable housing. Rising construction costs, labor shortages, lengthy permitting, and excessive regulation have limited supply and driven up prices. I support streamlining local planning and permitting, encouraging responsible development, and reviewing state regulations that unnecessarily increase costs while maintaining safety. I also believe communities should retain local control over land-use decisions so growth reflects local needs and infrastructure capacity.
Wisconsin should continue to follow the constitutional process for redistricting while complying with court decisions and ensuring districts reflect population changes after each census. The focus should be on fair representation, transparency, and preserving communities of interest where practical, not creating unnecessary uncertainty by constantly changing the rules.
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. I support responsible investment in education while ensuring funds reach classrooms and students who need them most. We should continue addressing special education funding challenges so local districts aren’t forced to rely on repeated referendums or shift costs elsewhere. I also support strong career and technical education, local decision-making, accountability, and giving parents a meaningful voice in their children’s education.
I support responsible growth, but large projects should not come at the expense of Wisconsin families or local communities. Data centers and CAFOs should meet environmental standards, use resources responsibly, and be transparent with the public. Local governments should retain a meaningful voice in siting decisions, and taxpayers and utility customers should not be forced to subsidize private development. We can encourage investment while protecting water quality, property rights, reliable infrastructure, and affordable energy costs.
