My priorities are public education, health care, childcare/youth programming, tenant protection & safety, food & pharmacy access. I am also an advocate for vulnerable people including senior citizens, justice involved people and people with disabilities.
Wisconsin needs to increase the supply of housing in order to improve access, bring down rents and offer alternatives for people to find appropriate housing for their needs. I favor changes to zoning, increased support for homeownership, support for municipalities and towns to develop in planful and sustainable ways.
I favor a non-partisan process for building electoral maps that reflect the population. Currently, our US congressional district maps favor one party disproportionately. That is unfair to votes and should change.
I support changes to the State educational funding that restore inflation-indexing for school support and that eliminate automatic funding for non-public schools.
Wisconsin should have transparent, long term plans for our environmental and energy future. Currently, we lack enforceable standards for transition to renewable energy sources across the state. Regional and local level entities are making choices that impact the State's environment and energy usage. I support the Rights of Nature, a unified energy plan for Wisconsin and statewide goals for a clean energy transition.
