Mahnomen County Commissioner District 3

County commissioners are the county s key policymakers. They oversee the administration of the county, set county budget, and participate in county long-range planning. County services that they oversee include a wide variety of social service and welfare programs, as well as certain public health programs. If elected, my top 3 priorities will be strengthening local infrastructure, expanding housing opportunities, and supporting public safety and emergency services. Residents in District 3 deserve well maintained roads, responsible county spending, and access to housing that allows families, seniors, and young people to stay in our communities. I will work collaboratively with townships, White Earth Nation, local businesses, and community organizations to pursue grants, improve services, and ensure county government is transparent, fiscally responsible, and responsive to the people it serves.
Every eligible voter deserves the opportunity to vote, and every voter deserves confidence that elections are fair and secure. I support following Minnesota election laws, maintaining accurate voter records, training election judges, and ensuring polling places remain accessible. Protecting election integrity and protecting every eligible citizen’s right to vote.
Too many people face barriers to getting help because of distance, transportation, or limited local services. I support stronger partnerships between the county, White Earth Nation, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to improve access and coordinate services. Investing in prevention and early support helps families.
We owe taxpayers responsible management of their dollars. I’ll support transparent budgets, pursue grants and outside funding whenever possible, and encourage partnerships that stretch local resources further. Preventative investments in roads, housing, and community services can reduce future costs while maintaining the quality of services residents expect.
The county board’s responsibility is to oversee county services, budgets, and public safety. Immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility. My focus will be making sure county government follows the law, supports our local law enforcement, and provides fair, respectful service to everyone who interacts with county departments.
I believe the best leaders spend more time listening than talking. I’ll attend township meetings, community events, and local gatherings throughout District 3 and Mahnomen County. I’ll stay accessible by phone, email, and social media because I want people to know they can reach me with concerns or ideas. Good decisions come from hearing directly from the people we serve.
