As an ESL teacher, mother, and South Metro resident, my top priorities are improving educational outcomes, making life more affordable for families, and increasing accountability in government. Students deserve schools focused on academic achievement and preparing them for future success. Families need relief from rising costs for housing, childcare, groceries, and energy. Taxpayers also deserve confidence that public dollars are being spent wisely and protected from waste, fraud, and abuse. Strong schools, responsible government, safe communities, and a healthy economy create opportunities for families and help Minnesota remain a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Families and small businesses are feeling the pressure of rising costs. I will support responsible budgeting, reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, strengthen workforce development, and support entrepreneurs and small businesses. Minnesota's workforce is one of our greatest assets. By encouraging economic growth, investing in skills training, and ensuring government lives within its means, we can make Minnesota more affordable and create greater opportunity throughout our state.
Minnesota should focus on expanding opportunity and improving outcomes. As an ESL teacher, I have worked with students and families from many backgrounds and understand that success begins with quality education, safe communities, and access to good jobs. I support policies that strengthen educational achievement, workforce training, and economic opportunity while measuring results and removing barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential.
I support equal rights and equal protection under the law for every Minnesotan. However, I do not support the current Equal Rights Amendment proposal. My concern is not with equal rights, but with placing broad language in the state constitution that could create uncertainty about how existing laws and policies will be interpreted in the future. Constitutional amendments should be clear, durable, and broadly understood. I believe equal rights are best protected through laws that provide clarity
Minnesota's clean air and water are essential to our quality of life, outdoor recreation, agriculture, and economy. I support science-based environmental standards, investment in water infrastructure, and responsible stewardship of our natural resources. I also believe communities should have transparency regarding major developments and their impacts on local infrastructure. We can protect the environment while supporting economic growth through practical, balanced solutions.
Safe communities begin with supporting the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency responders who serve our communities every day. I support improving recruitment and retention, providing effective training and resources, addressing mental health and addiction challenges, and ensuring accountability throughout the justice system. Families deserve safe neighborhoods, schools, parks, and businesses, and public safety should remain a core responsibility of government.
Minnesotans deserve confidence that elected officials are accountable to voters. I support clear and timely disclosure of campaign contributions so the public can easily see who is funding campaigns and advocacy efforts. Transparency helps voters make informed decisions and promotes accountability. Any reforms should be applied fairly and consistently while protecting constitutional free speech rights and encouraging broad participation in the democratic process.

As a mom, I feel so many of the policy choices of today deeply: Big Tech and corporate overreach into our daily lives, affordable childcare, reproductive autonomy, and good public schools. That’s why I’m discussing with voters how I plan to take on Big Tech and AI, stop corporate price-gouging, uplift children and their families by making their lives more affordable, and safeguard our democracy.. Minnesotans want effective legislators who will take on the big fights and pass the policies they care about. This campaign is focused on understanding the issues residents want to see movement on at the state legislature and explaining how, with my proven leadership and track record, I’m best positioned to keep delivering results for my neighbors.
As a working mom, I understand the cost of living crisis our community is facing. I’ve proudly supported economic relief programs and grants for local small businesses, passed Paid Family and Medical Leave, and taken on corporate price-gouging that increases costs for residents. I plan to continue passing policies that expand collective bargaining rights, protect workers from AI job displacement, increase wages, and ensure multibillion dollar corporations and CEOs pay their fair share.
I’m chief author of the READ Act, which overhauled Minnesota’s literacy education and invested over $100 million into ensuring all Minnesota kids can read. Early results show reduced racial disparities in educational attainment in our youngest learners. As Vice Chair of the Senate People of Color and Indigenous (POCI) Caucus, I’m proud of the policies I’ve passed to improve the lives of BIPOC Minnesotans and ensure our state remains inclusive and diverse.
Yes, absolutely! While the current administration in Washington attacks our fundamental rights and freedoms, I’m dedicated to ensuring that everyone who calls Minnesota home is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, immigration status, or disability. As a reproductive justice advocate and Co-Chair of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, the Equal Rights Amendment remains a top priority for me and we will continue pushing for its passage.
In my first term, I passed legislation removing PFAS from certain consumer products, voted for Amara’s Law, invested millions of bonding dollars into water treatment in the district, and worked with my colleagues to hold Big Tech accountable for their air and water pollution. I’ve also consistently supported Prove It First legislation and protecting our Boundary Waters. If reelected, I plan to work on lead pipes replacement, PFAS remediation, and continue on our path to clean energy by 2040.
From gun violence prevention to federal occupation to reducing crime with economic relief, I’ve been at the forefront of policies that reduce all forms of violence and emphasizes a holistic approach to safe communities. I’ve proudly fought for legislation to allow Minnesotans to sue when their rights have been violated, passed a nation-leading tax credit, and advocated for money to backfill funding for SNAP, Medicaid, and LIHEAP that Trump and Republicans stripped from our state.
Big money flooding the zone reduces our ability to restore democracy to the people. This year, Hawaii took action to regulate corporate powers and get big money out of their elections. I want to follow Hawaii’s lead and push for publicly financed elections in Minnesota. Since the courts struck down in 2025 the part of the Democracy for the People Act that banned foreign-influenced corporate spending in our elections, it’s time for new bold action to reduce corporate influence in our democracy.
