1. I would stop hyperscale data centers from being placed next to neighborhoods. I'm not talking about a moratorium that just kicks the can down the road, but legislation that protects our communities by prohibiting hyperscale data centers from being placed within two miles of neighborhoods. Monticello and Buffalo should not be industrialized like Gary, Indiana. Not only do hyperscale data centers create noise, heat, and light pollution, they present a significant threat to the water table.
2. I would fund fiber optic broadband so that Wright County can be connected with fast, reliable internet service.
3. I would increase pay for beginning teachers in order to fill the teacher jobs that are currently vacant.
Minnesota does not control federal monetary policy and has little direct control over inflation, or the tariffs that have caused inflation. But MN can help ease the burden of inflation on ordinary folks by addressing tax brackets and subsidizing affordable housing. The state should regulate the cable and broadband industry just like other monopolies. This would result in competition between service providers and would produce substantially lower monthly internet and connectivity costs.
I am an attorney. I would modify the cash bail system, because this results in a disproportionate number of minorities who are held in custody pending trial. These are individuals who are presumed innocent, and who are held only because they cannot afford to make the cash bail payment. We should work to diversify the teacher workforce through state funded scholarships and mentorship programs. I believe that student should have more teachers that share their life experiences.
Yes, I support amending the Minnesota State Constitution to add an Equal Rights Amendment. By amending the constitution, equal rights for all would have stronger protections that would not change depending on who is in power. Also, this would enable courts to address discrimination more effectively by applying strict scrutiny to discrimination lawsuits. I also think that this amendment would ensure that individuals with disabilities receive stronger protections.
I would limit the number of hyperscale data centers in Minnesota. The proposed hyperscale data center in Monticello will use about 4 million gallons of water per day for cooling. Heat is removed by evaporation, so this water is not replaced into the water table. This will result in water shortages for farmers in the months of July, August and September, which are typically dry months in Minnesota. With more hyperscale data centers, there is more permanent damage to the water table.
I will propose legislation that will foster a greater sense of community with unarmed crisis response teams, and interventions that are focused on children, teens, and young adults. We should fund community ambassadors to maintain a presence in business areas, establish relationships with the public, provide safety escorts, and perform wellness checks. Additionally, I support scholarships and grants for people who want to train to be licensed peace officers in Minnesota.
Minnesota corporations and other business entities are creations of state law. I would revise the corporations statutes to prohibit corporations, LLCs, and other business entities from making indirect expenditures of treasury funds to advocate for or against a candidate, or to promote or defeat ballot questions. The law could be revised in a way that it would not violate the Citizens United decision.

My top three priorities are the cost of living, holding all Fraudsters accountable, and fully funding education. Thanks to corporations putting profits over people’s lives, the cost of health care is higher than ever, the price of groceries keeps going up, and utility bills keep climbing as additional pressure is put on the grid. Fraud needs to be addressed in the next legislative session in a way that is aggressive, transparent, and accountable to all communities, and we need to focus on work, not dirty politics. Finally, education needs to be a top priority. We need to fund our schools to retain skilled staff and attract new talent.
We need to keep workers in the trades, education, agriculture, and manufacturing, and I will push for legislation that supports these industries to grow. Regarding inflation, small businesses need to be able to compete in our state. State agencies should work to identify areas where redundancies in regulatory processes can be reduced. Finally, for many Minnesotans, the biggest monthly expense is the cost of health care. We need to establish a statewide plan that lowers costs for Minnesotans.
I believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly. We are all created equal. Working on making sure every child has fair and continued access to Healthcare education, and work opportunities is the success we need to measure our state by. Properly funding these systems is key to producing fair outcomes, and I would support legislation that attempts to correct any inequalities that exist.
I support the adoption of a ballot issue to add the Equal Rights Amendment into the Minnesota State Constitution. We can be proud of who we are and who we have been, but we should always strive to be better. Everyone in this state deserves equal rights and protections.
I will support any legislation that protects clean air and water in the state of Minnesota, our children deserve to grow up in a healthy environment and to enjoy all that the great outdoors have to offer.
We deserve to feel safe in our communities and I support our first responders and police. They do difficult, essential work and deserve our thanks. I would support legislation and programs that strengthen the bonds between communities and police departments as well as intervention systems for vulnerable populations, particularly youth. I also will support protecting retirement, and if possible improving it.
Big money is a huge problem in our politics and I would seek to ban corporate PACs from operating in Minnesota, especially those coming from out of state. I also support term limits for elected officials and end trading stocks while in office.
