I'll fight to lower costs for working families. As a flight attendant and mom who has worked three jobs to keep food on the table, I know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck. I'll work to lower the cost of groceries, housing, and utilities by ending Trump's tariffs and cracking down on corporate price gouging.
I'll fight for healthcare as a human right. I went without health insurance during the pandemic as a frontline worker. No one should have to live with that fear. That’s why I'll fight for Medicare for All.
Third, I'll protect our fundamental freedoms. I was proud to codify abortion rights into Minnesota law and in Congress I'll fight to do the same nationwide. I’ll also protect access to contraception and IVF for everyone.
Congress is currently bought and paid for by special interests and billionaire donors. Our economy should work for the people who keep it running, not the billionaires and corporations that have been buying votes in Washington. I'll lower costs by ending Trump's tariffs, stopping corporations from gouging consumers, restoring affordable healthcare, and helping small businesses grow.
I will make rebuilding communities and local businesses impacted by the Metro Surge ICE invasion a top priority.

Justices must be held to the same ethics standards as every other federal judge. That means no more undisclosed gifts, luxury trips, or conflicts of interest from billionaire donors. I support term limits for Supreme Court justices, mandatory ethics enforcement, and expanding the Court to restore balance.

Health care affordability and access. As a physician who spent my career working nights at Hennepin Healthcare, I know that health care is a human right. I’m eager to bring my experience and the experiences of my patients to the challenge.
Affordability—for homes, child care, groceries, gas, and agriculture inputs. The reckless tariffs imposed by the current administration are making life harder for Minnesotans across CD2.
Democracy. Our Constitutional rights have been deeply violated in Minnesota—while overseas we are prosecuting an illegal war that costs $1 Billion a week and hasn’t accomplished its goals. We need leaders who will fight the corruption and self-dealing of the Trump administration and assert our rights as Americans.
As we have done in the Minnesota legislature, we need to restructure taxes to shift the burden away from working families and seniors, while ensuring that large tech companies pay their fair share. We should incentivize innovation through permitting reform and angel tax credits. We should lower the costs of homeownership by incentivizing more home construction and removing regulatory barriers.
I support returning to the investments in offshore wind and solar that Donald Trump has dismantled. In addition, a careful study of new nuclear technologies should be performed to see if that is a tool in our toolbox to move to clean energy, and can be done safely. Lastly, removing permitting barriers for large green energy projects is essential to the urgent task of addressing climate change.
We must restore the billion dollar cuts to medical assistance enacted by HR 1, for the sake of our rural hospitals, nursing homes, and home care services. We should pass a farm bill that contains supports for crop insurance while maintaining nutrition benefits for Minnesota families. We should move our country toward a universal health program so that health care access is not determined by income. And we should support our public schools with a strong Department of Education.
I expect the Trump administration to continue to undermine trust in our elections and threaten the safety of voters. We must support our proud Minnesota tradition of safe and secure voting, with ballot access through early voting and mail-in ballots. We must show the same courage as Minnesotans that we demonstrated during Operation Metro Surge to ensure our neighbors can vote in safety and dignity.
I have always approached my legislative work the same way I approach my medical work—I am there to do a job, and it comes with expectations from my constituents. It is not helpful to launch a viral tweet or throw an insult on social media, if that detracts from building a coalition with other legislators to serve the people of Minnesota. I will take that same approach to Congress.
The current Court makeup has been distorted by manipulation of the confirmation process. Senator Mitch McConnell demolished the tradition of rapid confirmations through legislative gamesmanship, and we must restore fairness and the prerogative of the President in nominating Justices. We should study the impact of an expanded Supreme Court bench, and consider age limits for justices, and enforce ethical standards and a gift ban for Justices.
Affordability, health care, and fighting corruption.
The American dream is slipping away. Housing, child care, college, and groceries have risen faster than income for decades – not from a lack of resources, but from an excessive concentration of wealth and power. I’ll build more housing, expand the Child Tax Credit, and make the wealthiest pay their fair share.
Healthcare can’t be fixed by tinkering. We need Medicare for All – a system that rewards good outcomes rather than insurance company stock prices. The 250 million Americans facing 2026 premium hikes can’t wait..
And we need the strongest anti-corruption laws in American history: no stock trading in Congress, no trading Qatari jets for political favors, no dark money.
We need a new social contract for what we owe each other. I’ll build more housing of all types to close the home shortage, expand the Child Tax Credit and childcare subsidies, establish universal pre-K, cap student loan interest at 2%, and close loopholes used exclusively by the ultra-wealthy. I’ll defend the right to organize – strong unions raise wages for union and non-union workers alike. And I’ll reject reckless tariffs that hurt farmers and manufacturers while raising consumer prices.
Climate change is the existential issue of our time, and it's already here – damaging our farms, ski resorts, and snowmobile industry. I’ll work to rejoin the Paris Agreement, restore tax incentives for renewable energy, EVs, and grid modernization. I’ll hold the richest companies int the world accountable as they try to build data centers in Minnesota, requiring environmental guardrails so they must use clean energy, cooling, and construction.
I’ll oppose cuts to Medicaid and SNAP and work toward Medicare for All as a right, not a privilege. I’ll raise the cap on Social Security taxation to stabilize the trust fund, oppose raising the retirement age, and restore the SSA staffing DOGE gutted. 73 million Americans depend on those checks, and they earned them. I’ll also defend and expand ACA subsidies, fight corporate price-gouging, let Medicare negotiate drug prices, and build housing at the scale the shortage demands.
I support the Freedom to Vote Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and the Voter Empowerment Act – automatic, same-day, and online registration, adequate early and absentee voting, an end to voter caging and intimidation, and restored voting rights after a sentence is served. I support the DISCLOSE and Honest Ads Acts, small-dollar matching funds, banning super PAC-candidate coordination, FEC reform, and a constitutional amendment overturning Citizens United. Congress has ceded far too much power to the executive branch. My first responsibility is taking it back: closing oversight loopholes, clarifying budget and spending rules, protecting the independence of inspectors general, and setting clear limits on domestic military deployment. My second is accountability to constituents, not donors – so I’ll reject corporate PAC and AIPAC money, host town halls, make my official schedule public, and refuse to trade individual stocks while in office.
I support the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act: a binding code of conduct, disclosure standards for gifts and income, mandatory recusal when a party lobbied for a justice's confirmation or gave gifts to their family, and disclosure of who funds amicus briefs. I’ll work to advance qualified, diverse judicial nominees who reflect the public – including lawyers with backgrounds protecting workers’ rights – and oppose clearly unqualified nominees.

1. Demonstrate Jury Democracy to give real decision-making power to ordinary citizens, to We the People. I would hold a jury trial on important bills before a large jury of randomly invited citizens to demonstrate the informed will of the people on that bill. Then if a bill passes the jury, I would demand that Congress hold a vote on it.
2. Cut income taxes AND payroll taxes IN HALF and replace that revenue with a wealth tax of 2% to 8% on wealth over about $1.5 million.
3. Have the federal government buy 1% of US land every year for a decade and let it revert to nature, re-wild it, to share the planet with wild species.
4. And a fourth, Eliminate all federal funding for Israel. I do not want our tax dollars funding genocide.
I will work to cut income and payroll taxes in half as stated above to put money in the hands of working people. Second, we do not have capitalism but rather "oligopolism" where every industry is 90% or more controlled by 5 or fewer giant corporations. I would implement a progressive corporate tax on the biggest companies steep enough to induce them to break up and compete in order to reduce their tax burden, so that we have real competition and real capitalism.
I would promote renewable energy and renewable energy manufacture in the US and eliminate subsidies for fossil fuels. We are losing the renewable energy industry to China. More importantly, I propose that the federal government purchase 1% of U.S. land every year for a decade and re-wild it, let it revert to nature in order to share the planet with wild species. That will address the climate change threat but also the more serious crisis of mass extinctions and habitat loss.
I support a modest universal basic income to replace nearly all benefit programs except disability insurance. That would be much more efficient and have a far smaller bureaucracy than our current alphabet soup of benefit programs. To insure adequate support for citizens and lower taxes, public subsidies should be limited to citizens. I support universal health coverage, but there are many ways to get there. We cannot continue to grow health care spending 10% per year.
I would require paper ballots and require that they be counted by hand, or at least that 10% of of randomly selected precincts have all ballots recounted by hand, in order to prevent hacking and tampering with a computer count of the vote and instill confidence in the vote. Ballot access is mostly fine now, but we need to fund and have enough voting places and ballots and voting machines in every county and precinct to prevent long lines in voting. Election day should also be a holiday.
My responsibility will be to serve the public, the citizens of my district and of the nation. I will vote my conscience and not just vote the party line. I will fight to restore the power of Congress that it has wrongly surrendered to the President and Supreme Court, and I will give that power to We the People through the process I call Jury Democracy.
The Supreme Court is drunk on power and totally politicized. I would require that Supreme Court decisions be ratified by large juries of randomly invited citizens. No citizen jury would ever hold that the Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional, as this Supreme Court did. I would also rotate Supreme Court Justices down to the Courts of Appeal and rotate Courts of Appeal judges to serve 1-year at a time as Supreme Court Justices to end this system of vast power for life in 9 unelected people.
