I am running for St. Cloud City Council because I believe Ward 4 deserves a strong, accessible, and accountable voice at City Hall. As a lifelong St. Cloud resident, I understand both the opportunities and challenges facing our community. Through my work as a program coordinator and community leader, I have experience solving problems, managing resources, and working with people from all backgrounds. My priorities are representation, accountability, public safety, and smart development that supports local businesses and strengthens neighborhoods. I will listen to residents, communicate openly, and make decisions based on what is best for Ward 4 and the future of St. Cloud.
My top three priorities are representation, public safety, and smart development. First, I will ensure Ward 4 residents have a voice in City Hall through open communication and community engagement. Second, I will support efforts that keep our neighborhoods safe and strengthen collaboration between residents and law enforcement. Third, I will promote smart development by supporting local businesses, improving city services, and encouraging responsible growth that benefits our entire community.
St. Cloud is strongest when every resident feels heard and respected. I will engage with the community through regular ward meetings, community events, neighborhood visits, and open communication both in person and online. I will listen to residents from all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and experiences before making decisions. My role is to represent everyone in Ward 4, not just those who agree with me, and to ensure all voices have a seat at the table.
Transparency starts with keeping residents informed. I will provide regular updates on city projects, goals, and council actions through community meetings, social media, and a public online progress tracker so residents can see what I have accomplished, what I am working on, and what still needs attention. I will remain accessible, welcome feedback, and clearly explain my decisions so residents know how I am representing them and following through on my commitments.
I'm a union leader, father, and husband who's fallen in love with my city. It's been my children's home forever and I am here to give it some desperately needed TLC. For decades our city's leadership kicked the can on regular investment and maintenance and it's high time someone fixes that.
We lack fully furnished parks all over our city. Our city is literally known for only red lights and potholes. I want to take my experience working with companies and politicians for my city.
Community. Our children need places to go. From a pool, community center, and/or more parks, we need to start chipping away at these projects to turn our great place to live into an amazing one.
Infrastructure. We can't safely get across town, period. From lobbying the state/fed to looking at each road project with the idea of not just maintenance, but improvement, I'm here for it
Budget. Last year's tax increases, while necessary, were uncomfortable. Working within the budget is paramount.
I'm already connected to many advocacy and outreach non profits throughout central Minnesota. I'm also an incredibly easy person to converse with. So that's the base. From public town halls, having dedicated times to answer my emails and calls from constituents, and just coming to people's homes and seeing how we can move forward together on the many issues I'll face. I'm here to be available to my city.
Similar to my previous answer, as well as promoting more civic engagement. Some current city council meetings have as few as 10 people going, we need more. Having diverse input at the microphone ensures all of our votes are for the benefit of the city
