From an early age I have been active in engaging the community I have lived in. In high school I helped form the first Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) for Burnsville High School. Giving gay and lesbian youth a place to go and find community. I continued this engagement in my 20s working on multiple political and social justice campaigns. I have also been active in multiple different non-profits serving as treasurer. This experience has given me the skills to read a balance sheet and see how to best utilize funds provided by generous donors. I have been an engaged community member with youth, currently serving as a Girl Scouts troop leader here in Richfield. I want to bring all of my experiences and knowledge to serving the people of Richfield.

As a member of the LGBtQIA+ community I understand the importance of hearing all voices and representing all points of views. Everyone deserves the right to be heard and their thoughts expressed. My platform includes building community which to me means being a strong advocate for Richfield being a city for the arts from all backgrounds and communities. This also means engaging with the community. Participating in community events & being present for community members to engage with.
Our job as city leaders is to bring forth what information we are giving and get community input. As such the way I can be transparent is making sure there is every opportunity for the community to participate in the decisions we make as city council. And when ever possible provide citizens who elected me with as much information as possible to make an informed decision and guide me on the path to making our city a better place to live for everyone in Richfield.
