My campaign is about service. I am not running to advance a personal agenda. I am running because I care deeply about Inver Grove Heights and believe our city deserves leadership that is practical, accountable, and focused on residents.

I bring the community involvement, professional experience, and commitment to public service needed to help guide our city through the challenges and opportunities ahead.

If elected, I will be accessible and responsive to residents, transparent about how and why decisions are made, and committed to listening to all perspectives before reaching a conclusion. I will put facts and the needs of our community ahead of politics, work collaboratively to find solutions, and make difficult decisions when necessary.
I will support small businesses, protect taxpayer dollars, and promote smart, responsible growth. My focus is on ensuring development benefits residents, strengthening our local economy, and making thoughtful decisions that preserve the quality of life that makes Inver Grove Heights a great place to live.
Beyond email, phone, and social media, I would host a monthly "Coffee with the Councilman" gathering. Residents could meet with me at a local coffee shop, park, or community space to discuss city issues, share concerns, provide feedback on council decisions, and help shape the future of Inver Grove Heights. Good government starts with listening.
Beyond hosting regular community gatherings, I believe city government must be more transparent and accessible. City financial information should be easier to find and updated more frequently, and council meetings should be summarized in a clear, easy-to-understand format. Residents deserve to know not only what decisions are being made, but why they are being made and how they impact our community.

I'm the best candidate because I combine deep community roots with proven results. As a lifelong resident who has choosen to raise my family here, I understand what makes Inver Grove Heights home. My 14 years on Planning Commission and 4 years on Council demonstrate real commitment. I bring an engineer's problem-solving approach to balancing growth with community character, strengthening our tax base, and funding essential services. I've consistently prioritized first responders and improved communication. Most importantly, I listen. You elected me to serve your interests, not personal agendas. My collaborative leadership ensures every voice matters. I have the experience and track record to keep making Inver Grove Heights even better.
My top 3 are economic development to strengthen our tax base and reduce resident burden, smart development that provides diverse housing while maintaining community character, and fully supporting our first responders with the resources they need. These priorities work together attracting quality businesses creates jobs requiring housing, which generates tax revenue funding excellent public safety services. My engineering background and local experience position me to deliver results.
I believe every voice matters regardless of background or viewpoint. As a member of various city advisory commissions (Inver Grove Hts Parks and Recreation. Environmental Advisory Commission) and task force (pavement management), I have spent the last decade engaged with city staff. This includes but is not limited to; processes to review projects, review of mandated/regulatory reports, public hearing of citizen inputs. I desire to elevate that experience to make decisions that will impact citizens and ensure a viable future for Inver Grove Heights.
1. Affordable housing for all who desire to live in a home.

2. Ground water policy. The EPA is proposing rule making that apply to municipalities regarding the management of ground water. We need to get ahead of that process to eliminate as much unnecessary burden on taxpayers as is possible.

3. Review the IGH Host Community Fund current allocations and priorities.
Listening. Clearly, we as citizens come from a different background, different upbringings, varying influences, different neighborhoods. Listening and reconciling those differences is the key to good governance. I truly believe that we all desire an outcome that is community driven.
Challenge any information that is communicated to or brought before the city council. We have competent city staff. However, they have priorities that do not necessarily reflect the community as large. Providing a priority to engaging staff will go a long way to improving communication with the city.

Many citizens are not aware that contact information for their elected city leaders is available on the city website under the “Your Government” and “city council” menu. That should be a more prom
