I am passionate about rural healthcare access. We are in a healthcare desert. To established care, get into a specialist or to receive mental health services, there is well over a three month wait and there’s actually no healthcare within Ralls County of House District 5. I am a strong believer that a healthy community is a productive community.
My top priority would be to address low access to healthcare. I would support Hannibal Regional Hospital’s residency program, pulling in more providers while increasing property values and workforce development. I would also support full practice authority and a revision of NP education/hours under an MD to achieve it.

Healthcare, housing, education, tax reform. Helping NPs, RNs, and CNAs obtain a fair living wage upgrades the quality of healthcare across the board. Free college empowers people in Missouri increase the value of their labor and helps the state economy. Grants to build affordable housing with modular homes is the fastest way to solve the affordable housing crisis.
My top priority is to fully fund public education through state funding and help counties lower the property tax on education to help homeowners and eliminate personal property tax for individuals and businesses. Rasing income tax on incomes over $300K is the solution to fully fund the State budget.
