I believe that critical thinking starts young, so it follows that one of the public policy topics I am passionate about is education. My family home schools our young daughter, and I wish to make it easier for more families to have increased education options. Other policies that come to mind are Defend the Guard, economic/tax policy, and rural healthcare access.
My top priority for legislative action would remain education. There are already some solid proposed bills that I would be interested in co-sponsoring or otherwise supporting. However, if language is added to those bills that would increase taxes, I will propose another where that is not the case. Education is expensive enough, and competition is how we reduce prices.

I am passionate about protecting rural healthcare and public education. Too many rural hospitals are closing or cutting essential services, leaving families without access to care. At the same time, diverting public funds to private schools weakens public education, leading to staff cuts and fewer opportunities for students in rural communities.
My top priority in 2027 is strengthening rural healthcare and public education. I will fight to increase funding for schools, address maternal healthcare deserts, and try to recruit and retain doctors by reversing policies that drive healthcare providers out of our communities. Rural families deserve access to quality care and strong public schools.
