Public education is my top priority. My wife is a Title 1 elementary teacher in Nevada, and we are strong supporters of public education. I believe our public schools give kids from all backgrounds the best opportunity to grow as people and become successful adults. Affordable housing and preservation of our local hospitals and health clinics are also priorities
My top priority is to refocus legislative action on supporting public schools. In recent years our schools have become a victim of the culture wars and disinformation that have taken public attention away from all the good schools do. Missouri ranks 49th or 50th among states in teacher pay and we need pay teachers better and incentivize good teachers to stay.
