I care deeply about Lander and believe local government should be practical, transparent, accessible, and accountable. As a business owner, taxpayer, employer, and property owner, I understand budgets, difficult decisions, problem-solving, and accountability. I believe a good mayor listens, asks questions, does the homework, and is willing to ask “why.” The people of Lander are asking for new leadership. I have a servant heart and am willing to do the hard work—to listen, learn, and lead with fiscal responsibility representing all of Lander in a bipartisan manner.
A prosperous future starts with keeping our dollars local and making Lander a place where businesses can succeed. I will listen to our business owners, employees, and citizens about what they need, remove unnecessary roadblocks, and spend taxpayer dollars wisely. We need to support existing businesses while welcoming responsible new opportunities. Lander and Fremont County are stronger when we work together, invest in infrastructure, encourage local jobs, and make practical decisions that benefit the people who live and work here.
My top three priorities will be transparency, fiscal responsibility, and responsible growth. First, City Hall needs to be accessible, with citizens informed and involved before decisions are made. Second, I will treat taxpayer dollars like they are my own—asking questions, prioritizing needs, and looking for long-term value. Third, we need responsible growth that protects what makes Lander special while supporting housing, infrastructure, local businesses, and good jobs. Growth should work for Lander, not change who we are.
A vibrant and livable town is one where people can afford to live, work, raise a family, retire, and build a future. It has strong local businesses, safe neighborhoods, good infrastructure, accessible services, and opportunities for all ages. For Lander, it also means protecting the character and independence that make us unique. We don’t need to become somewhere else to succeed. We need thoughtful growth, common sense, and a community where people know their neighbors and have a voice in their town. Change is hard let’s concentrate on what we need then get to our wants!

My depth of knowledge & experience are my strengths. I attended Council meetings for months before being elected in 2018, extensively growing my knowledge of government. In March 2025, after 6.5 years as a dedicated and capable Council member, I stepped into the mayor role. As Mayor, I significantly increased my knowledge and skills of managing a city efficiently & effectively, and understanding gov't finances. I have strong proficiency in leading teams to perform, and in improving/streamlining processes. These are critical skills to lead Lander into a strong future.
City government should provide a “fertile field” where residents want to live & shop, and where businesses want to be. I’ll continue providing statutorily required services like public safety, and continue offering as many quality-of-life services as possible, as efficiently as possible. I’ve built strong partnerships with local, county, and state entities, and will continue to partner with other governments in Fremont County, and entities focused on business-support/ entrepreneurship. Lander and Fremont County is small enough to work together, and too small not to!
I’m proud that I’ve contributed to these efforts and will continue to:
- Seek external funding for infrastructure projects (road, water/sewer) and quality of life projects to minimize financial impact on residents while making Lander a better place to call home
- Increase transparency across all city functions, and continue meeting with residents and addressing concerns
- Work within Lander government and with local, county, state and federal partners for our economic vibrancy, including increasing reasonable housing for our workforce and neighbors on limited budgets.
Public safety is my #1 priority, and I’m thrilled that stats show Lander is safer than ever. All crime types are down substantially, some as much as 30%. Citizen engagement & volunteerism is a clear indicator of vibrancy, and Lander has terrific levels of both. From LVFD firefighters to the many nonprofit organizations that improve residents' lives in sports, arts, and social services, residents create vibrancy. Lander is blessed with many active service clubs. It’s also important to have a community that discusses its beliefs and differences in a healthy, respectful way.
