Fremont County Attorney
The Fremont County Attorney serves for a four-year term. There are no term limits. The Attorney receives a salary of $98,000 per year. They are eligible for health insurance coverage, and they will be enrolled as a member of the Wyoming Retirement System unless they are otherwise employed by an entity participating in WRS at the time they assume office. The Attorney must be a registered and qualified elector, which includes that persons must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the election at which he/she may offer to vote. They must reside in the county they represent.

I am running for this office because Fremont County is my adopted home and I want to help make it the best place we can to live. I have a decade of experience as a private civil attorney and 6.5 years experience in the Fremont County Attorney's Office as the Juvenile Attorney (Delinquency, CHINS, and Abuse/Neglect cases). In addition, I have tried felony-level cases with the Fremont County Attorney's Office while serving as the Juvenile Attorney. I am a seasoned litigator, a level-headed negotiator, and I have worked hard to garner the trust of the many law enforcement agencies in the County and hope for the chance to be elected and prove myself further to the people of Fremont County.
The question does not imply which imperfections, nor define what an equitable system looks like. I have a number of issues with the current system in the United States and in Fremont County, however. Although I have a feeling this question was written with deference to racial inequity, I frankly do not see that issue in Fremont County despite its unique racial diversity. The largest inequity I see within the criminal justice system writ large is the inequity between various levels of economic class. The system is "stacked" to benefit defendants who can afford their own counsel, and I work tirelessly, as it is, to not let that affect the decisions I make when prosecuting. This inequity presents across racial divisions.
There are a number of reasons that things at the pre-prosecution level must remain confidential. However, I have already worked to better my presence on social media addressing local issues, have made my private cell phone available to the news media in Fremont County and have never declined to speak with individuals calling with questions. My particular office operates on an open door and open line policy and will continue to do so if I'm elected.
