I am running because I care about Fremont County. I grew up here, my family lives here, and this is home. I want to help protect what makes our county special while also planning for the future. As Fremont County grows, we need leaders who will make smart choices and listen to the people who live here.
I have worked as a general contractor for many years. That work has taught me how to listen, solve problems and manage money. I know the value of hard work, honesty, and keeping your word. I believe my experience, common sense, and love for this community make me the right person to serve Fremont County.
Right now, we have the ¾ percent sales tax proposed, I am in favor of this initiative - we will see how the communities of Fremont County vote.
Budgeting should be the Commission’s top priority because it supports all other County responsibilities. The County should focus on funding essential services, public safety/law enforcement, emergency services, infrastructure and county road maintenance.
Fremont County has always been my home and I am deeply invested in this community. Four generations of my family are members of this community in various stages; one in retirement, two in the work force, and one preparing to enter Kindergarten.
I am an accountant at the Wyoming Life Resource Center, which has afforded me an opportunity to expand my government accounting skills. My employment history includes working at the Fremont County Attorney's Office, Planning Department, and Solid Waste Disposal District. I was fortunate to work in each County department under amazing leadership, in which I gained valuable knowledge about the County as a whole. I am not a business owner, I have no hidden agenda, and I am fiscally conservative.
New taxes give me pause; I am skeptical of combined "packages" with no deadlines. Given the current economic status, I think the best approach to prioritize benefit services is to allocate existing resources and thoroughly evaluate spending decisions.
The County Commissioners should collaborate on an attainable solution for ambulance services and focus on exercising overall conservative fiscal responsibility.

I am running because I care deeply about the future of our community and believe county government should focus on responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, reliable services, and practical solutions to local challenges. I don't just have priorities—I have experience making difficult decisions, building consensus, and delivering results. My background includes school district leadership, service on local and statewide boards, legislative and public policy work, and leadership of nonprofit organizations. I have worked with local governments, businesses, tribal governments, and community groups across Wyoming. Those experiences have taught me how to listen, solve problems, and bring people together to move communities forward.
The Legislature controls most county revenue options, so one of my responsibilities will be advocating for policies that allow counties to maintain essential services. Before asking taxpayers for more, we should first ensure county government operates efficiently, eliminates duplication where possible, and makes the best use of existing resources. I would aggressively pursue state and federal grants, partnerships, and other funding opportunities. When additional revenue is needed, local options are limited and generally require voter approval. Any proposal must be transparent, accountable, and clearly tied to community needs. I would also expand public outreach so residents help establish priorities and guide difficult funding decisions.
The Commission’s top priorities should be maintaining reliable county services, practicing fiscal responsibility, and strengthening communication and accountability across county offices & boards. Residents depend on public safety, roads, elections, libraries, emergency services and more, and we must deliver those services efficiently and effectively, and hear from the public about their concerns. One urgent priority is ensuring reliable ambulance service. If approved, the ¾-cent tax on the ballot could provide time to develop long-term solutions, such as an EMS special district, regional partnerships, or other ideas. A backup plan is needed if the tax proposal fails, We must address these challenges proactively before they become crises.

I am a registered professional engineer and have been with the Commission and the County as an engineer for over 30 years. Fremont County needs my experience as an engineer and as a businessperson. I have been a board president on multiple boards all the way across the United States including 3 boards in Fremont County. It is my turn to step up, lead and help our Fremont County communities and the Wind River Reservation.
Using our current tax base as matching funds to apply for grants that would allow us to provide further benefits to the entire County.
Funding requests need to include a business plan and sustainability plan.
Sound business and economic decisions that benefit our County should be the Commissions priority.
Providing safe public services, law enforcement, transportation, solid waste, water, sewer, fair and library and especially spending will be crucial in the coming years.
Safeguarding our Agriculture community as that is how our community grows and thrives.
