I’m running for Fremont County Commissioner to bring transparent, accountable, and practical leadership to our community. With an MBA in Economics and experience in consulting, staffing, and operations management, I’ve managed budgets, improved efficiency, and made data-driven decisions. As commissioner, I would bring that same discipline to county finances, taxpayer stewardship, and long-term planning for Fremont County, with a focus on transparent, responsible government.

I believe the first step is not asking taxpayers for more, but making sure current dollars are spent wisely. County government should prioritize essential services, eliminate waste, and improve accountability and transparancy. If additional revenue is truly necessary, I would support only limited, transparent approaches tied to specific public needs and measurable results, while protecting taxpayers and keeping government as efficient and limited as possible.

The top priorities for Fremont County Commission should be those areas most directly tied to the county’s core responsibilities and where residents feel the impact first. • Roads and infrastructure — maintain the county’s basic transportation network and public facilities. • Budget discipline, honest governance and transparency — control spending, protect taxpayers, and make every dollar easy to track. • Core public safety and essential services — support law enforcement, emergency response, and other duties the county is clearly responsible for. I would keep county government focused on its core functions and resist mission creep into areas better handled by individuals, families, nonprofits, or the private sector.

The reason I am running for County Commissioner District 1 is that I feel that I have more to contribute as a commissioner. I have served as a commissioner for ten years. I have 30+ years of experience as an administrator, and I have a Master of Science in Business Leadership with an emphasis on Organizational Structure Development. I fully understand the issues and concerns of Fremont County. My leadership style is Servant leadership which moves me to understand the full commitment of services to the Community and Constituents. I am a Disabled Veteran who served as a SGT. with the 2nd /82nd Assault Bn, 82nd Airborne Division. I also served as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the B.I.A. Law Enforcement.

We would need to leverage existing infrastructure and inter-agency partnerships to diversify funding and offset the burden on taxpayers. Apply to for competitive grants, look at payments in lieu of taxes, and work on economic development to build revenue generating assets.

The top three priorities as a Commission are to first serve the People of Fremont County and to move Fremont County Government to a more efficient government of service. With an emphasis of importance of non-micromanagement toward Governing Boards located under the Fremont County Commission but more of a collaboration and communicative style which develops growth and positive progression. The Commission will need to protect County water and to also work on economic development. As the liaison to Tribal Governments, I have worked to build a collaboration between Fremont County Government and both the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribal Governments to meet monthly and to discuss issues that affect all three governments.
