Their office is responsible for initiating criminal charges, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor offenses, handling juvenile cases, and supporting crime victims throughout the judicial process.

Why are you running for this office? Describe the experience and skills that make you the most qualified candidate.
The District Attorney’s Office has sufficient staff and other resources to perform the functions required for Laramie County.
Please explain your above response regarding staff and resources.
What are the most important issues for the District Attorney in the next four years and how do you plan to address them?
I have served as Laramie County District Attorney since January 2023. During that time, I have restored the office to its full staff levels, stabilized the budget, improved services to victims, and strengthened our relationships with our partners in the judicial system - courts, law enforcement and service providers. I want to continue this work to ensure the stability of the office and position it for continued success in the future.
The District Attorney's Office is currently authorized 22 staff by the Wyoming Legislature, consisting of lawyers, legal assistants, victim advocates, and an investigator. I continually monitor caseloads and staff levels, and will seek additional resources as required, consistent with Cheyenne's growth. For now, we are busy - but thanks to the dedication of the staff, maintaining our workloads.
The most pressing issues are increases in domestic violence, drug offenses, and juveniles committing crimes with firearms. My office works with law enforcement and local victim advocates to assist victims of domestic violence, and we participate in initiatives to draw attention to this issue. Drugs are an issue in Laramie County, since we sit at the crossroads of two major interstates. We have a full-time attorney and legal assistant devoted to prosecuting drug crimes, and we work with the federal High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program in cooperation with law enforcement and the US Attorney. As for juveniles with firearms, we are creating a working group with law enforcement to explore the source of firearms and stop the flow.
