If elected, my two immediate priorities will be public safety and fiscal accountability. In my first two months, I will work with law enforcement and residents to identify public safety concerns while reviewing the city’s budget, contracts, and spending to ensure transparency and responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
Over the next two years, I will focus on reducing crime, expanding youth opportunities, supporting small businesses, attracting quality development, and strengthening our tax base. These priorities are essential to creating a safer, financially stronger, and more prosperous Lauderhill for all residents.
Our City of Lauderhill should take a proactive approach to reducing waste by expanding recycling education, encouraging reuse, and making it easier for residents and businesses to participate in effective waste-reduction programs. The city should strengthen partnerships with Broward County and neighboring municipalities to pursue regional solutions, improve recycling efficiency, and reduce landfill dependence. We should also promote composting, community cleanups, responsible bulk-waste disposal, and incentives for businesses that reduce or reuse materials. Our goal should be simple: reduce what we throw away, recycle effectively, reuse whenever possible, and protect our environment for future generations.
Our City of Lauderhill should work collaboratively with Broward County to expand affordable and workforce housing while protecting existing neighborhoods. I support incentives for developers who include affordable units, responsible use of city-owned property for housing opportunities, rehabilitation of existing housing, and programs that assist working families with homeownership and rental costs. We should also streamline appropriate development processes without compromising community standards. Our teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, seniors, and working families should have opportunities to live in the communities they serve. Housing affordability is essential to Lauderhill’s economic stability and quality of life.
If property taxes were significantly reduced, I would prioritize essential services such as public safety, infrastructure, and services that directly affect residents’ quality of life. Before reducing services, I would conduct a comprehensive review of city spending, contracts, programs, and administrative costs to identify efficiencies and eliminate unnecessary expenditures. To address shortfalls, I would pursue grants, strengthen economic development, attract new businesses, expand the commercial tax base, and identify responsible revenue opportunities. Residents should not be asked to sacrifice essential services until government has first demonstrated disciplined, transparent, and accountable spending.
I believe residents should have a meaningful voice in shaping Lauderhill’s future. I have actively engaged with residents, HOA leaders, faith communities, businesses, and community organizations to listen to their concerns and ideas. If elected, I will expand opportunities for engagement through community forums, neighborhood meetings, surveys, and accessible communication with City Hall. I will intentionally seek input from residents across all neighborhoods, cultures, ages, and backgrounds. Unity begins when people feel heard, respected, and included, and my commitment is to ensure every resident has a voice in our city’s future.
