I have a passion and dedication for serving my community with a strong sense of justice. I truly believe in the judiciary's power to give people a venue to be heard and to solve their problems. I work hard with others to improve the court's abilities to serve Jefferson County in domestic abuse and stalking cases, as well as with mental health and drug abuse issues.
It's important for judges to maintain trust in our courts by taking all possible steps to ensure people are notified about court dates, have an opportunity to be heard and feel that said opportunity was fairly provided to them. I make sure to listen and fully consider every word from all those who appear before me, whether they're in a suit or grease-covered overalls.

Occupation
Lawyer
I've been a lawyer for over 21 years. I have years of experience in family law, guardianships and orders of protection. These types of cases affect women, children and families. I care about those that are most vulnerable because protecting families protects everyone.
People often feel left out of the process when discussions are held with their attorney behind closed doors at the courthouse. I aim to keep litigants in the courtroom so they can participate in the process and not feel ignored.
