My top priorities: protect families, lower costs and improve quality of life. I will fight to protect residents from environmental hazards by establishing clear protocols for contamination, flooding and public health emergencies. I will work to make life more affordable by supporting economic growth. I will expand access to healthcare and essential services for residents.
I've worked on some of the region's most complex issues including environmental contamination, healthcare access, education funding, economic development, public safety, workers' rights and government accountability. Few candidates possess my depth of experience navigating local, state and federal government systems to deliver meaningful results for county residents.

1) Fiscal stability: maintain responsible budgets, protect essential services and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently. 2) Economic stability: support job creation, workforce development, small businesses and strategic investments that grow our economy. 3) Housing: expand access to safe, affordable housing while revitalizing neighborhoods.
I am uniquely qualified through a career of public service, leadership and results. As chairwoman of the St. Louis County Council and a former state legislator, I have worked to improve public safety, invested in infrastructure, expanded economic opportunities and delivered resources to our communities. I have the experience and relationships needed to get things done.

1) Quality policing and crime prevention: addressing the root causes of crime, discouraging gang activity, getting drugs and guns off our streets. 2) Neighborhood stabilization: creating a pipeline to home ownership while developing transportation and social economics. 3) Quality of life: promoting neighborhood clinic access and work to keep our county clinics open.
We need a county that works for all. As mayor of Ferguson for six years and member of the council for another five years, I worked to bring unity and stability to Ferguson's development while at the same time annually maintaining a balanced budget. My leadership made sure people were heard and acted upon with a pastoral heart and that tough decisions were made for growth.
