Lowering costs, healthcare with mental health built in, strong public safety, practical schools and freedom and fairness under the law. I'm a military veteran and grew up in a working family where a union paycheck and health insurance kept us afloat. After losing my bonus daughter to suicide, I know families need care that is affordable, understandable and close to home.
My top priority is making healthcare, especially mental health care, easier to access and afford. I would pursue dedicated 988 funding, scale mobile crisis teams, simplify medical billing, cut red tape that blocks local care and work with both parties so families can get help before a crisis becomes an emergency room visit or law enforcement response.
