I believe that elected officials should represent the voice of the people and should stop trying to overturn laws and constitutional amendments that Missourians have already voted on.
I want to protect Missouri's initiative petition process in its current form without added restrictions.

Incumbent? Yes
1) Lowering taxes: in my four years, we have eliminated capital gains taxes, eliminated taxes on Social Security and frozen property taxes for seniors. I will continue to find ways to put more money in people's pockets. 2) Education: continue to support public education and also give options for families where there may be a better option. I support fully funding schools.
My top priority for next session would be reducing taxes. We can find a way to reduce personal property taxes for individuals. Also, we need to cap increases in real estate taxes. Residents do a much better job spending their money than the government does. Again, fewer taxes and more money in residents' pockets.
