Legislation that improves affordability and quality of life for working families. I've always voted to expand access to affordable health care, supported efforts to improve public safety with commonsense gun reform, consistently voted to increase funding for education and prioritized economic development and infrastructure that strengthens the inner core of St. Louis.
My highest priorities in the Senate next year include ensuring the interests of St. Louis and St. Louis County are protected. This includes ensuring tornado impacted areas in our region remain a central focus in Jefferson City and adequate funding is provided. In addition, the revitalization of downtown St. Louis is critical not only for our region but for the whole state.

Abortion rights: I don't believe the government should dictate anyone's private health decisions. Public education: our kids are our future and deserve a quality education. I've always supported public schools (and presently coach mock trial). Affordability: as a single mom, I struggled to pay bills and keep food on the table. Low- and middle-income folks need relief.
Fighting to fully fund public schools. Missouri's legislative supermajority cutting taxes while underfunding K-12 education by $190 million is a disgraceful example of misguided priorities. Local communities are left to fend for themselves to pay educators and non-certified staff, while our kids and fixed-income neighbors suffer.
