I am passionate about any policies that defend my neighbors and uplift my District. I have crafted legislation which would require undocumented minors to receive representation in immigration hearings, to get money out of politics, to remove state pre-emptions on local ordinances, and to protect our veterans and LGBTQ neighbors from discrimination. Many of our communities are struggling right now, and I see it as the outcome of incremental bad policy decisions that have added up over the last two decades. I will continue to pursue legislation that gets to the roots of these issues.
We need to work on repairing the trust in our government, and as I see it, the only way forward involves getting money out of politics. My legislative policies in 2027 will focus on Missouri being one of the first states to overturn Citizens United on a state-by-state basis. I will continue to fiercely advocate for my immigrant and LGBTQ neighbors, support policies that uplift rather than divide, empower our young people, defend our libraries and public education systems, and work to lower utility and insurance costs in our state.
