Public Elected Offices Held Alderman Ward 3 - City of Grandview - 2011 to Present
Incumbent? YES or NO No
I have both personal and professional experience that makes me the best candidate to represent the 4th district. I have been elected and serve as an Alderman for the city of Grandview for the last 15 years, which is the closest job possible to being on the County Legislature. Both positions are responsible of budget management, several departments including first responders, parks and rec, public works, economic development, planning and zoning, and more. I am also the Executive Director for the Grandview Assistance Program (GAP), serving Grandview and South KC for the last 7 years. GAP provides emergency assistance to families facing eviction, homelessness, food insecurities, and other challenges. This experience has given me the insight of challenges that residents of the 4th district face on a regular basis. All these insights and experience gives me a unique background to represent the residents of the 4th district that no one else will be able to do.

Public Elected Offices Held none , I hold an appointed Jackson County Council Position on the University of Missouri Extention Representing Grandview MO
Incumbent? YES or NO no
I have lived in Jackson County for more than 40 Years. I understand first hand what Property Tax issues we have.

I served on legally defensible Industry Standards and Professional Courses affecting Health, Safety, Accountability, and measurable results.

I also bring more than 47 years of Business Leadership, Business Ownership, and Management experience. My background includes serving as President of my company, Owner of Textile Care Group, Senior Inspector, Industry Instructor, Chemical Manufacturer, Technical Educator, Published Author, STEM Instructor, and nationally and internationally recognized Technical Expert and Speaker. I have served in Executive, Board, Officer, Standards, Technical, and Public Service positions, including the Jackson County University of Missouri Extension Council, IICRC International Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Board Member, Standards Vice Chair, Technical Advisory Committee Chair, Co-Founder and President of LMCCA, Marriott Board leadership,
Our first priority will be Property Tax Relief and Assessment Accountability.

We need to start by building a serious team to work on Property Tax issues immediately — including people who understand assessments, appeals, County finances, State law, senior protections, and taxpayer rights. This includes partnering with other Legislators.

Too many homeowners were hit with unfair assessment increases. For those who were wrongly affected, the goal should be clear: get money back to taxpayers. Overhaul the system so it does not keep happening.

Focus on helping people whose Home Ownership is in peril — especially Seniors, fixed-income residents, working families, and people who are being taxed out of homes they worked their whole lives to own. 1. Build A Property Tax Relief Team 2. Help The Wrongly Affected Tax Payers 3. Protect Hoe Ownership 4. Insist on Assessment Reform 5. Launch an outside Critical FORENSIC AUDIT to find issues 6. Measure every Expenditure 7. Strengthen Public Safety

Public Elected Offices Held Hickman Mills School Board Director
Incumbent? YES or NO no
School Board Director is the closest public office relative to County Legislator. Having served as School Board Director has prepared me for the position of County Legislator. The Hickman Mills School District (56 square miles) is the largest public the biggest public entity outside of the City oy Kansas City, Missouri in the District #4, more than twice that of Grandview (14.79 square miles) and Raytown (10 square miles) combined. Hickman Mills School District Budget has larger budget and is responsible for more employees and building than either Grandview or Raytown. Secondly, as retired Letter Carrier with 30 years of service it proves that I have the ability to deal with all types of people in highly stressful an environment that created the phase, " Going Postal." I also am a officer of local letter carriers union which represent nearly 1400 active and retired letter carriers.
My top priorities consist of easy to understand property tax reform that assist resident to stay in their home rather than forcing them out, determine the root clause of this senseless violence, economic development by studying what worked and didn't work in other city, stay away from tax incentive developments unless they have some measurable real benefit to the community, monitor the number of non-profit business and organization operating in the county, review the budget to separate the needs like infrastructure and salaries form the wants.
