I'm a small business owner, husband, father, and youth football coach who got involved in county government the hard way — as a taxpayer and a government transparency advocate. As a member of the Missouri Sunshine Coalition, I've used open-records work to hold local officials accountable and to find out where public money actually goes.
That experience taught me what the Presiding Commissioner's job really is: manage the county's budget responsibly, keep taxes in check, and make sure tax dollars fund the county's core mission — public infrastructure and public safety — rather than getting diverted elsewhere. I'm running because I'll bring that same focus on the taxpayer and on transparency to the commission every day.
My priorities are straightforward: stop unnecessary tax increases and keep life in Platte County affordable; increase transparency so residents can see how their money is spent and how decisions get made; and focus county government on the core services families and small businesses need — the public infrastructure and public safety the county actually exists to provide.
In short: the mission of county government is public safety and public infrastructure. Fund that mission, execute the mission, and stay focused on the mission, with the taxpayer's interests first.

I am qualified because I have dedicated my career to studying public policy, understanding how government impacts people’s lives, and advocating for positive change. I bring education, real-world experience, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. Most importantly, I care deeply about this community and believe leadership should be about service, not politics.
My first-year priorities would be transparency, accountability, and community engagement. I want to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, improve communication between county government and residents, and work with county leaders to address the issues that matter most to our community. I believe government should be accessible, responsive, and focused on serving the people of Platte County.
