There is one political party Primary election for this race: Republican. All Republican affiliated and unaffiliated voters will be eligible to cast a vote in this race. Unaffiliated voters will receive both DEM and REP ballots. Unaffiliated voters must return only ONE ballot. The Clerk and Recorder conducts elections, titles and registers vehicles, issues marriage licenses, records public documents, processes passport and liquor-license applications, and serves as clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. Term of office is four years.

I serve as the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, where I am committed to ensuring secure elections, accurate records, and dependable public service. Certified in elections administration both in Colorado and nationally, I work to uphold transparency, accountability, and the integrity of county operations. Community engagement and civic participation are important to me, especially encouraging young people to become involved in our democracy. I introduced the Mesa County “I Voted” sticker contest and organized a student mock election to help students learn about voting and understand that their voices matter. I am proud to lead a dedicated team focused on delivering professional, respectful, and reliable service to the residents.

When I think about election integrity, I think about confidence, knowing that your vote is counted accurately, that the process is completely transparent, and that elections are conducted in a strictly bipartisan manner. In our current political climate, this is something I think about every day, and I have worked tirelessly to restore and maintain trust in our electoral system.
With so much misinformation surrounding elections today, it is more important than ever to go straight to the source and ask questions when you are unsure about the process. To bridge this gap, I am proud to have introduced public election tours, giving our community the opportunity to see exactly how an election is conducted in real time, putting you right in the room where it happens.
Innovation and accountability are key to this mission. I am proud to be the first clerk in Colorado to implement the ballot verifier, a tool that grants the public access to records to audit the election while fully protecting every voter's right to a private ballot. True election integrity means constantly looking for ways to improve the system. Robust audits are essential, and a clerk who is accountable to the people is vital.
Election officials across the United States focus strictly on the process, not the outcomes. We all take a sacred oath to uphold the laws and the Constitution. A healthy democracy depends not only on secure elections, but also on public confidence that those elections are conducted accurately.
I am running for re-election as your Mesa County Clerk and Recorder because I am deeply invested in our community. Throughout my term, I have delivered modern, impactful improvements across our office, and I am eager to build on this momentum to continually strengthen voter confidence and trust in our elections.
During my tenure, I have focused on bringing tangible benefits to Mesa County by prioritizing security, transparency, and efficiency. To elevate election integrity, we significantly enhanced physical and digital security protocols around our election processes. I also launched the innovative Mesa County Ballot Verifier tool, giving the public direct, free access to view and audit cast ballot images to ensure complete transparency. These proactive measures have helped us build a highly verifiable election system.
Beyond elections, I have worked hard to protect property owners by launching a free Property Fraud Alert system and opening our land records database for free public searching.
We modernized Motor Vehicle services by introducing a convenient appointment system, stabilizing staff turnover, and keeping our offices consistently open and accessible. Combined with our customer checklists, these changes have drastically reduced wait times and eliminated unnecessary return trips.
I am constantly seeking innovative ways to streamline operations, increase transparency, and deliver the high-quality public service that Mesa County deserves.
